If the liquid can harden or is subject to crystallization, then yes, the hose should be cleaned after each pumping batch has been completed. Furthermore, it is imperative to ensure that the hose used is compatible with whichever cleaning liquid is being used and to further ensure that the temperature of the cleaning liquid is suitable for the hose material.

Question: Can pump connections on a hose pump be vertical instead of horizontal?
