Question: How to maintain your AODD Pump?

Answer: A step by step guide to maintain your AODD Pump

  1. Remove all oil from the inside your diaphragm pump and completely remove the pump head.
  2. Take off the diaphragm and position the axial sleeve hole upright. Then position the piston at its highest point.
  3. Next, thoroughly grease the internal hole of your diaphragm pump.
  4. From here, you will need to rotate the pump shaft until the diaphragm is on the piston. Screw on tight.
  5. Next, grease the new gaskets and replace the previous ones on the head.
  6. After you complete the greasing, you will need to rotate the shaft, bringing the piston downwards. Now, mark it.
  7. Once the outside of your diaphragm is greased, you will want to reposition the head by tightening the four screws using a torque wrench.
  8. Completely remove the valve cap, valve, and gaskets. Replace all components (if need be) and reinstall.
  9. To fill your diaphragm pump with oil, you will need to tilt your pump to one side, letting the air escape. At this point, rotate the shaft, tilt the pump, and wait for about 60 seconds for the air to escape.
  10. Finally, repeat this process on all other pistons. Remember to fill your pump with the correct amount of oil.
